Trama:
Tetsuo era un ragazzo timido, con un solo vero amico: Yukio, un gigantesco robot da combattimento. Insieme, sono diventati l’ultima speranza dell’umanità, combattendo contro le mostruose creature aliene arrivate da oltre la galassia. Durante l’ultima battaglia, Yukio fu distrutto. Tetsuo si salvò per miracolo, lanciato nello spazio in una capsula di emergenza, dove rimase in sonno criogenico per dieci anni. Quando finalmente atterra sulla Terra, il mondo che trova è irriconoscibile: le città sono sparite, la civiltà è crollata, e l’intero pianeta è coperto di ghiaccio e neve. La chiamano Snowball Earth. Che cosa è successo all’umanità? Perché il mondo si è congelato? E, in un pianeta ormai deserto, riuscirà Tetsuo a mantenere la promessa fatta a Yukio?
