Trama:
Sasaki è un impiegato di 45 anni intrappolato nella monotonia del lavoro e della vita quotidiana. L'unico momento di sollievo nella sua routine è la breve visita serale a un supermercato, dove la gentilezza e il sorriso della giovane cassiera Yamada riescono, anche solo per un attimo, a fargli dimenticare lo stress. Una sera, però, Yamada ha già finito il turno e l'uomo, deluso, si rifugia dietro il negozio per fumare. Lì incontra Tayama: una donna misteriosa, schietta e diretta, molto diversa dalla dolce Yamada... eppure, qualcosa in lei gli sembra stranamente familiare.
